Cheadle Floors recently installed a brand new parquet floor in a home in Davenport near Stockport. The new floor was fitted in the kitchen and dining area at the back of the house.
As you can see from some of the photographs, this room opened out onto the back garden with patio doors providing easy access from the inside out. With this in mind the floor had to be hardwearing, durable and easy to clean as it would experience high footfall and the likelihood of mud and dirt being traipsed in through the patio doors and into the dining area.
Our clients opted for the Polyflor Camaro range of flooring and more specifically the parquet option. Parquet Flooring has been making a comeback from when it was originally popular in the 1970’s. It’s traditional and timeless and its look has been re-created in luxury vinyl tiles by Polyflor. They replicate the natural beauty of wood but with the durability of a manufactured vinyl and are a more affordable option than real wood parquet flooring.
As luxury vinyl tile fitters in Davenport we started by ensuring that the floor space was cleared and the surface was brushed thoroughly so that we had a clean area to work with. The adhesive was applied to one section of the floor and the luxury vinyl tiles put in place. This process was repeated several times until the whole floor had been covered. We fitted the tiles around the new kitchen units that had been previously installed. As you can see from the photographs it was not a standard space as it had several rooms off which we had to work around and the units made it a little more complicated. However, you can see the stunning results and finish from the photographs.
