New Luxury Vinyl Tiles kitchen and dining room floor Stockport
As luxury vinyl tile fitters in Stockport, Cheadle Floors recently completed fitting new flooring in the kitchen dining area of a house in Stockport.
Although one room merged into another to create a kitchen/dining area, the two individual spaces had previously had different flooring which meant that once removed the underneath was also different and therefore the two areas needed different floor preparation.
In the dining area we fitted sp101 plywood whereas in the kitchen a layer of screed was required. Screed is a thin top layer of material which in this instance was laid over the concrete subfloor. It provides a smooth finish which creates a better surface for tiles to be laid. Alternatively, the sp101 plywood is a great all-purpose flooring that can be installed as a good subfloor base. It’s been specifically developed as a flooring underlay. This was fitted in the dining room.
