Luxury Vinyl Flooring Fitted in Heaton Moor

Have you ever had something that you liked so much that you wanted more of it? It might be your favourite ice cream, a nice glass of wine or a piece of chocolate. In this instance, our clients previously had new luxury vinyl flooring fitted in Heaton Moor in a couple of rooms in their home, and they liked it so much they wanted more of it, so decided to have the same flooring fitted in the dining room, and that’s where we came in.

At Cheadle Floors our clients had luxury vinyl flooring fitted in Heaton Moor by us. They chose Amtico Form Rural Oak Parquet in the kitchen and hallway and wanted this flooring to continue into the dining room. As you can see from some of the photographs the dining room was quite a large, narrow space. The work included cutting around an existing fireplace and up to skirting boards.

We prepared the floor by fitting 12mm standard plywood. This created a level, consistent surface which we then topped with 6mm plywood. A coat of Uzin NC196 was applied over the plywood to ensure a perfect finish. Fitting a layer of plywood and applying a self-levelling compound all contribute to this.

The next part of the process involved working systematically to fit the luxury vinyl tiles. As an Amtico fitter in Heaton Moor we approach this by doing sections at a time, covering the floor with adhesive and then laying the tiles onto it. We included a border around the edge of the room which was created using the tiles. You can see what the flooring looked like once finished from some of the photographs included.
