Beautiful Luxury Vinyl Flooring Fitted in Marple Bridge

Choosing luxury vinyl flooring is a fuss free option for any room in the home. If you compare it to having carpet it can also be more hygienic as it is easy to clean, and dirt doesn’t get ingrained in it. It’s a particularly great choice for areas of high foot traffic such as the hallway, lounge and dining room. Anything trapsed into the hallway from outside can be mopped up and food dropped from the table in the dining room can be wiped away.

Cheadle Floors recently fitted luxury vinyl flooring in the lounge and dining area of a house. Our clients chose to have pale limed oak from the Knight Tile range from Karndean. This particular type of flooring was featured on Sarah Beeny’s “Double Your House for Half the Money” programme. The pale limed oak planks combine blonde and honey tones that create a lovely neutral palette that can be paired with a range of different colours and styles of furniture and paint within the room.

We started the process by uplifting and removing the existing carpet and old vinyl tiles and then prepared the subfloor by applying Tilemaster Proflow smoothing compound. We were then able to fit the luxury vinyl flooring with standard planks fitted in the lounge and dining room and parquet planks in the hallway. In addition, we included a black strip around the edges of the hallway. Using a design strip to create a border personalised the space. As a Karndean fitter in Marple Bridge, Cheadle Floors know how to make your flooring bespoke to you using additional features and effects.

Having the same flooring provides a seamless transition between rooms creating a cohesive feel. It also makes the space look and feel bigger drawing the eye from one room into another and this was certainly the result from this project as you can see from the photographs included.
