Our clients in Cheadle Hulme chose to have Polyflor Camaro luxury vinyl tiles in Boathouse Oak and liked them so much that they decided to have this flooring in three different rooms, the kitchen, dining room and hall and as Cheadle Floors is an experienced luxury vinyl tile fitter they asked us to install the flooring.
As a luxury vinyl tile fitter, we recognise that the key to a professional finish is not only dependent on the type of flooring you choose but also preparing the floor. We started the project by preparing the area first which involved clearing the rooms as much as possible. We then focused on the sub base by applying a layer of screed throughout the three rooms having the new flooring. This ensures that there is a level, smooth sub base on which the luxury vinyl tiles can be fitted. We then installed the tiles by first putting the glue onto the surface and then placing the tiles on top. We were able to fit around and under the kitchen cupboards as well as cut around the bottom of the stairs and fit right up to the skirting boards and patio doors.
We fitted smoked oak luxury vinyl tiles to a small area by the front door. You can see the finished results from some of the photographs. The new flooring completely transformed the space and also complimented some of the key features such as the kitchen units and island.
