Once we had done this, we laid a 3mm coat of flexible smoothing compound over the stone floor. This is perfect for putting over existing tiled/stone surfaces. You can see from some of the photographs the mixture being poured and then spread over the existing floor. It created a smooth surface which we were then able to install the vinyl tiles on top of.

Having the same flooring throughout the downstairs, created a lovely flow through the house, linking each room together. The herringbone pattern was perfect for the style and age of the property.
