New Amtico Floor Marple Stockport

There is no doubt that the heart of every home is the kitchen. It’s the room where everyone gravitates to when you have guests and it’s the room where families talk together the most. Spending so much time in the kitchen means you want it to look great but also be practical and that applies just as much to the floor as to the kitchen units.

Cheadle Floors recently installed brand new luxury vinyl tiles in a kitchen in Marple, Stockport. Our clients opted for Amtico Classic Oak Parquet. Amtico is a British flooring company who manufacture luxury vinyl tiles. They not only look beautiful in any room of the home, but they are also great quality being long lasting and durable. The key benefits to having an Amtico floor are that the floor will be strong, quiet to walk on and will always feel soft and warm underfoot – ideal for a kitchen.

We started by removing the original flooring. The old floor boards were badly damaged, so we fitted 9mm plywood in order to create a better subfloor for the vinyl tiles to then be installed. It’s vital as part of the preparation to create a good sub floor as this supports the flooring on top. It means it will last longer and is more comfortable to walk on.
