Cheadle Floors recently revisited a house in the Chorlton area of Manchester. A few years ago, we installed new flooring in the hallway. Our clients were so impressed with the results and our workmanship that when they decided to have new flooring in the living room, they got in touch again with us straight away.

Our clients really liked the flooring in the hallway, so they also chose to have the same flooring in their living room. Having the same flooring running though several rooms creates continuity between the rooms and gives the impression of more space than there is. Karndean Art Select Parquet is a great choice for rooms that experience high traffic as it is durable and tough so perfect for a hallway or living room. It’s the surface layer that is 0.7mm thick that makes it very hard wearing.

As a Karndean floor fitter in Manchester, we started the process by ensuring that we had a level sub floor. This involved applying a layer of screed to the whole of the living room floor. You can see from some of the photographs the beautiful smooth finish this created, perfect for the Karndean flooring in Manchester to be laid. We were able to work around the fireplace and the skirting board.

We then fitted the Karndean flooring in Manchester along the edges of the room in blocks to create a different pattern from the rest of the flooring. A 10mm ebony trim was included around the perimeter of the room which created a lovely feature that was in keeping with the hallway floor.
The rest of the floor was then glued in place in herringbone style that gave a striking effect.

You can see the stunning results from the photographs. While it is not real wood it has the appearance of natural wood with its colour and range of tones making it inviting to the eye.
