We also know what products and resources to use in order to ensure that the correct subfloor is laid in preparation for the main flooring.
With this project, we used Uzin L3 Gold screed. This is a moisture control smoothing compound which is suitable for use in areas of high moisture. It levels the floor creating the right subfloor for the luxury vinyl tiles to be installed and ensures a professional finish.
For the main floor our client opted for Riven Slate from the Knight Tile Range. This range of tiles offers a wide selection of designs so there is something to suit everyone. The Riven Slate vinyl tiles were influenced by the natural stone found in the Lake District and incorporate the grey tones found in the slate in that area. The tiles are slip resistant and so are ideal in a kitchen.
This particular style of tile suits both traditional and contemporary settings. As you can see from the photographs the client’s kitchen was quite contemporary but the tiles perfectly complimented this. The tiles can be paired with a light-coloured design strip. In this instance as the final part of the process we fitted a light grout strip between each tile which added definition and perfectly completed the overall look, creating a beautiful space that is the heart of the home.
