Our client needed some new flooring fitted in the bathroom. While they were keen to invest in some flooring that looked good, what was more important was the practical nature of the flooring as it needed to be non-slip, as safety was of paramount importance.
The material used for a bathroom floor needs to be able to cope with humidity, water spills and temperature changes, while also being in a style that complements any existing bathroom fixtures and fittings. Our clients opted to have a vinyl floor fitted. This type of flooring is great in a bathroom as it is insulating for heat and sound and is soft underfoot, perfect when stepping out of the bath or shower in bare feet!
As a safety floor fitter in Stockport, we talked through the range of options available and our client opted for Angleite Polysafe Stone FX vinyl flooring. This is heavy duty safety vinyl flooring. While virtually invisible, there are aluminium oxide particles that are integrated throughout the layer of flooring which makes this safety flooring both functional and beautiful. It is often used in care homes but was great for use as a domestic application in our client’s home. For peace of mind this product comes with sustainable wet slip resistance that is assured through the lifetime guarantee of the product.
We installed the flooring over Sp101 ply which we fitted first. The top layer of flooring was added which was easy to cut around the bathroom fitting, meaning a fuss free job completed with minimum disruption to our client. You can see the results from the photographs included.
