Our clients wanted a new floor for the kitchen, dining room area and hall. Using the same flooring in several areas of a home creates a seamless link between rooms and gives the impression of space.

As the kitchen, dining area and hallway are often areas of high usage a durable and hardwearing flooring is vital, as is one that’s easy to clean and heat resistant which is especially important in a kitchen.

We discussed with our clients the various appropriate options available and they chose from the Art Select Collection from Kardean. In keeping with the colour and style of the kitchen units they opted for Cirrus Slate. The Art Select Collection from Karndean consists of stone inspired luxury vinyl tiles that reflect the natural beauty of travertine, slate and limestone but at a fraction of the cost. The tiles are handcrafted to highlight the patterns and textures of real stone. We supplied and fitted these luxury vinyl tiles.

As you can see from the photographs, the area was cleared to create a clean workable space. The floor had to be levelled to ensure that there was a smooth, flat area for the vinyl tiles to be laid. This involved using Ardex na which is a levelling and smoothing compound that can even out uneven subfloors. You can see the finish that this created once the screed had been applied. The luxury vinyl tiles were then installed, and the finished results can be seen from the photographs.
