Amtico White Ash floor installed in Bredbury

One of the great features of having an Amtico floor is that depending on what you choose and how it is fitted, there are a range of different patterns that can be created. Take for example a recent project that Cheadle Floors, as an Amtico fitter in Bredbury, completed at a house in Bredbury.

Our clients decided to have luxury vinyl flooring and opted for Amtico White Ash from the Spacia Collection. This has the look of real wood with imitation grains and textures but without the same level of maintenance and upkeep that natural wood requires. As the flooring was for the living room, which is an area of high footfall, they required something exceptionally durable. This collection from the Spacia range benefits from a superior tough coating and a thicker than average wear layer. It also comes with a 25-year guarantee for your peace of mind.

As you can see from a couple of the photographs, the first part of the process was to clear the room of the existing flooring. This exposed the floorboards underneath. As they were not a suitable subbase for fitting the new flooring, we installed Sp101 plywood over the floorboards, cutting up to, and around the skirting boards and fireplace. The plywood created a level base for us to lay the luxury vinyl flooring. We were then able to fit the vinyl planks over the top. To make the flooring bespoke to them and their home our clients decided to have the planks laid in an unusual pattern. This type of flooring allows you to get creative.
